And the Dems showed the country they could not govern. That's why they lost the election.
What's hypocritical and also nonsensical, is pointing the finger of blame at the Dems when the party in full control of everything can't get it's act together, and pass legislation they had 7 years to work on!

Campaigning and bitching is easy but governing is hard!
This equally true of both parties. Both are terrible at governing. This is the biggest reason that we always reliably switch back and forth between them. We get fed up with Republicans, so we vote in Democrats. We get fed up with Democrats, so we vote in Republicans. The really stupid part is that we never learn our lesson and just keep the cycle going like that.

Clearly we don't really like either one. Obamacare is a steaming pile of crap. Trying to fix a steaming pile of crap is next to impossible. But now the government may be locked in for fear of "you killed my grandma!" scenarios. The government should have never gotten into the healthcare business to begin with. Regulate it? Hold abusive insurers and healthcare providers responsible? Sure, do that. But they should never have gotten into the business of actually providing it.

Government sucks at doing just about everything they try. The solution is pretty simple. The government needs to do a lot less of just about everything.

The difference is at least this is out in the open and a better bill is on the horizon. Obama and Dems passed bills for the mere reason of passing a bill weather is good or bad. The hatred of Obama Care passed by super majority and shot gun method is clear.

This is the reason why this bill has not passed yet.

Actually it Democrats who care more about protecting Obama and Illegals , more than American Citizens.

There is nothing better than ACA for the simple reason that no socialized medical program is good. Better to let ACA completely fail and use it against the Democrats in the next few elections...the gift that will keep on giving.
Socialist medicine, as you call it, is successful throughout the entire developed world. It's not just a global economy now, innovation is also international. Haven't you noticed how many medical developments are coming out of Europe, China, Japan? The US actually is falling behind because of cuts to R&D budgets and the profit before patient attitude that pervades our system.

The Republicans are masters are great at giving their base fake issues to mobilize them to do their bidding. Low information voters have fallen for protecting heterosexual marriage, gays in the military, and Oboma care. Fake outrage over Benghazzi and emails but look the other way to all that Trump is investigated for.

Perhaps if more politicians would have an interest in working for the Citizens of the United States instead of "THE PARTY", we would all be better off.
That applies to ALL politicians affiliated with ANY party!
They all seem to forget that they were sent to D.C. to represent their constituents. Not the President, not "the party", not the rich, not the poor, ALL of their constituents!

There are entirely too many in Congress (from BOTH parties) who are more interested in making trump look bad than representing those who sent them there, just as there are too many "newscasters" who are more interested in cutting the President down than actually reporting news.

In reality, though, it does make life simple. Believe very little of what is heard on "news" programs (regardless of network), and vote against the incumbent whenever possible.

It's funny, people on the right are so partisan they are completely ignoring the fact that "American Citizens" DID NOT WANT TrumpCare. Only 17% supported this bill, and Reps who gave numbers - including some Republicans - had hundreds and even thousands of calls urging them to vote against the bill with mere handfuls calling in favor it it.

ACA can certainly be improved but it sure beats having nothing, and that's what TrumpCare would have delivered.

7 years of railing against it, yet about 10 minutes of time putting together the so-called replacement, which was merely a method of redistributing wealth to those who are already wealthy, while stripping millions of access to health insurance, sometimes for the first time in years.

They can pass any legislation they want. They don't need the Democrats for anything.

The left put us in this position with 51 votes, 7 years ago on Christmas eve. We have to pass the bill to see/know what's in it. And now the left wants the right to fix their 7 year mess in less than 90 days?

Hey, they are reading the bill and they don't like it...imagine that....
