So the White House Counsel may claim he can block Yates testimony based on presidential communication privilege, this screams for an independent prosecutor if it didn't already. If you recall Yates notified Trump that he may be compromised by Flynn and some of the other Russian connections.

I think we can see why Nunes cancelled the hearings.

The Trump administration sought to block former acting attorney general Sally Yates from testifying to Congress in the House investigation of links between Russian officials and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, The Washington Post has learned, a position that is likely to further anger Democrats who have accused Republicans of trying to damage the inquiry.
.................................................. .....................
Yates and another witness at the planned hearing, former CIA director John Brennan, had made clear to government officials by Thursday that their testimony to the committee probably would contradict some statements that White House officials had made, according to a person familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Ken Wainstein, a lawyer for Brennan, declined to comment

I have not heard that she is back on, waiting on a reply from the White House counsel. If they claim privilege this will blow up.

Angry Yates warned her testimony could be barred

USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — The turmoil surrounding the House Intelligence Committee's investigation into Russia's interference with the 2016 election deepened Tuesday, with the disclosure that former acting Attorney General Sally Yates was warned last week that her testimony could contain privileged communications involving the White House that might be barred, a official familiar with matter said.
Ultimately, Yates' scheduled Tuesday appearance was canceled by House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., But before that hearing was called off, the caution was delivered to Yates in a flurry of letters involving her attorney, the Justice Department and the White House Counsel's Office. The hearing also was to include testimony from former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

The Washington Post first disclosed the letters raising concerns about Yates' testimony.

So it sure in hell was NOT FAKE NEWS FROM THE WASHINGTON POST! Instead they were indeed SPOT ON!

Sure smells like Obstruction of Justice and COVER-UP to me!

Once again, can you imagine if the shoe was on the other foot......

CAN YOU IMAGINE if it was Obama who had been accused of working with Russia to rig the election, and Obama had a former republican Attorney General's testimony canceled? Conservatives would be outraged.

I guarantee every conservative on C-D would agree with me on that
