NONE of which makes Putin any more trustworthy than he currently is, which is not at all.
Russia is being made an "enemy" because it's useful to the Democrats and the Establishment MSM which supports them.
There is nothing more too it than that.
It's true and obvious. It worked before, history tends to repeat. Most of us know the spewed propaganda from our government is tainted when they throw it out there. This was no exception.
Of course Russia has special interests, as does every other country including us. We've made ours blatantly clear for the rest of the world.
I am very surprised in the internet age that anyone can think we are the "good" guys and others are the "bad" guys. Those who do are just siding on a team. I agree, nothing more than that.

And Putin's being made a 'friend' by some because if Trump told them their cars would magically now run on water they'd be running to insert their garden hoses into their gas fills.

Trustworthy, lol Throwing that word around after our elections threw out the socialist and elected the populist is pretty laugh worthy. I think there is enough "un-trust" to go around.
GOOD! Maybe we've finally learned what utter BS "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" is.
Is this sarcasm?
Obama looked at Assad and determined that he was somehow our enemy - and then decided that "moderate rebels" were Assad's enemy and therefore made them our friend.
Obama armed "moderate rebels" and continued to do so even after US weapons kept falling into the hands of ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, and other terrorist groups.
We are currently fighting terrorists that Obama's foreign policy literally trained and armed.
When Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan armed Al Qaeda to block Soviet Expansion it didn't work out well for us in the long run...I suppose Obama thought that this time would be different.
Syrian rebels trained and armed by the United States gave at least a quarter of their weapons cache to al Qaeda affiliates in Syria earlier this week, U.S. Central Command acknowledged Friday.
Syrian fighters voluntarily handed over equipment, including six pickup trucks and ammunition, to al Qaeda’s Syria arm, Jabhat al Nursa, according to a*statement.
Your post is either sarcasm, or you are praising Trump way too early, or you have no clue what you are talking about...but hey, let's tick off Russia by dumping more weapons into terrorist hands to remove Assad - what is one more power vacuum in the Arab world? Who cares if it leads to fierce tensions with nuclear armed Russia that seeks to protect its warm water port there?
Russia has lots of land, but due to their geography they are paranoid about securing and keeping their water lanes open - especially with warm water ports.
While that is true, it has nothing to do with Syria.

Russia wants to maintain a presence in the Mediterranean, which is why Russia is helping Assad. The US has choked off all other possible Mediterranean ports for Russia, by destroying Yugoslavia, and overthrowing governments in Tunisia and Libya.
Tartus is the last remaining Mediterranean port for Russia. If Russia loses it, then the Russian navy will be bottled up in the Black Sea (which is exactly what the US wants).
I read an article awhile back about energy distribution from Russia to other countries - by land and sea. That plays a large part in what they have done, and will do, since their economy relies heavily on energy exports.

Nobody has made Putin a friend.
This is simply more nonsense put forth by those promoting the nonsense that Russia is an enemy. As I said, very convenient for Democrats and the establishment which supports them to have a false bogyman that can be shot all day long.
Oh please - there are more dangerous rulers in this world than Putin. You all are living back in the age of the Cold War.
Indeed. But the Democrats and the establishment which supports them needs a false bogyman to distract from their own failures. They were after all, essentially wiped from power from the national government.
So they say that Russia is the enemy.
And if anyone disagrees with them, then they are a Putin lover.
