This is clearly a call for government action. Won't someone think of the children? Ban guns!

When I hear that some people feel we should allow college students to start carrying guns on campus, I have to ask "What the Hell is this, the old west all over again ?" Even then, the sheriff would make you check your guns at the jail and retrieve them when you went back out of town.

The more civilized we get the less civilized we get.

But that's a problem for the larger society. Stupid has guns.

So an isolated incident on private property turns into banning guns on college campuses and the fall of civilization?

I hope you warmed up before that stretch, hate for you to pull a hammy

There are currently states where concealed handguns are allowed on college campuses. Would you like to report back on how bad the "wild west" activities are? Or is it perhaps a non-issue?

Funny. I laughed till I had tears in my eyes. I am not a gun nut or a gun hater. I'm for responsible gun ownership. I think accidents will always happen.

Think about this. We survived basically from the turn of the Century up until the end of it, without people finding the need to be armed to the teeth just to go to the grocery store. Now, everybody and their mother has to have a gun on them to somehow make it through the trip. It is only in the last 15 years or so that this hysteria of "gotta have a gun on me" came about.

I don't know about you, but I somehow make it through every day without carrying my gun around with me. I do have a couple of pistols at home, next to my bed, but even those are collecting dust.

It just seems so very weird to me that, here we are in 2017, and we have progressed so far that we now have to be armed everywhere we go. I realize things can be bad out there, but that is what we have law enforcement for. BTW, I am no gun hating nut, I shot "Expert" in the Marines, but I simply do not see the need to carry a gun to go to the 7-11.

We wouldn't want to have some gunman interrupted while he is in the midst of slaughtering 30 college students now, would we?
