I heard this claim this afternoon and surprisingly wasn't shocked that some Liberal Lefty would try to pin this on Trump.

It is ridiculous but hey it is open season on Trump and everyone is gunning for him. To the Left Trump is responsible for everything and anything that goes wrong in this country.

Cho is an Asian actor that has appeared in the new Star Trek movies.

I do wonder if the airline picked this guy because he was Asian?

Imagine the outrage if they had removed a black person or a muslim from that plane using the heavy handed tactics they did with this guy.

It is sad but true that in the hierarchy of the PC madness white guys and Asians are at the bottom.

The airline was wrong to call the Police and they are going to pay dearly for their mistake.

As much as I dislike Trump, United is on their own on this one. Trump had nothing to do with that fiasco.

I hope United stock drops and stays dropped. That was unbelievable what they did on that plane.

Last week, United threatened a First Class passenger with handcuffs if he didn't get up and give up his First Class seat for a more important passenger - on a 6 hour flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles.

Whether they picked him because he's Asian or not, the whole video has gone viral in china already and was resent more than 200 million times. The Chinese are starting a boycott and given how important the china market is for united, this will be a death knoll for it. The united stocks lost 1 billion just today. They were stupid for doing this to the poor guy, and the CEO of united is even more stupid for saying what he said.

Once you're stepping onto an aircraft, you're putting yourself under the authority of the crew - ultimately, of course, the captain. And captains have wide-ranging, legally backed powers - among them, the power to decide who gets to be on the plane they're in command of and how they should behave. Once you get belligerent with the cabin crew for pretty much any reason, you're on the bad side of the guy up front. And he has the right to boot you off the plane and let the bean-counters back at the main office figure out how to compensate.

I sympathize with the passenger, but I honestly don't see his reaction as rational. I'm kinda surprised that United is being vilified to this degree. The actual manhandling was on part of the police.
Well, that's pretty simple.

It's true that people like cheap airfare, and are willing to forego amenities in exchange. But those same people still resent being treated like crap, and airlines have been treating people like crap for years.

There's a lot of resentment out there.

I quit flying when I found out they were rationing oxygen. I mean really, what else do you need to know about their attitude toward the people that pay them??

Agree and perhaps this is the proverbial straw. Because I have to do work related flying, I consider driving far more civilized. Watching the videos of this doctor and the outrage the others passengers felt seeing the way he was treated - and then the initial response from United? Maybe soon we will reach a critical point and start expecting airlines to treat customers the way any other service related business is expected to. Now, it's like airlines have attained an untouchable status.
