When a woman is too drunk to be a willing participant, it is rape.

That is, of course, the main reason many women drink at parties - to put themselves in the mood to be willing participants. When such a women achieves her goal of getting drunk and hooking up, it is ridiculous to then accuse the drunk male participant of rape.

I doubt that is what the former VP meant. No one would ever be prosecuted for rape if 2 willing teens or adults had sex just because they were high, whether on booze or weed. If that were the case, nearly every male high school and college student would be in jail. Anyone with a brain can tell the difference between a girl who is a little drunk and someone who can't even stand up. In any case, if someone says "no, stop" it means "no, stop." I do agree that some girls will have a few drinks to get loose, but sometimes it's because they feel insecure and want to have a good time. It doesn't necessarily mean they want to be grabbed and raped.
What scares me about the posts on this thread is that some of the people writing comments aren't behind bars. It sounds as if some of you have grabbed women against their will and, if they can't fight you off, then it's not rape in your depraved minds.
Rape is not sex. Yelling no means "leave me alone" and is not consensual sex. When a woman is too drunk to be a willing participant, it is rape.
The "no means maybe" crap was a myth 50 years ago and it's still crap.

Most don't want anything to do with falling down, sloppy, slurring their words, drunks. It's neither "cute" nor "sexy".
Anyone who does, might be a predator.
If both are in the same state of inebriation (male and female) then who is taking advantage of whom?
