The parents of those girls should be arrested and at a minimum charged with child abuse. Hopefully the parents would see jail time. Regardless those girls need to be removed from those homes for their own safety. If those parents were willing to have their daughters sexually mutilated, we have to believe they'd also do an honor killing if the girl violated their religion.
Long story short. Muslim women bring their young daughters to this doctor for her to perform female genital mutilation here in USA. Doctor was arrested and charged with the crime and denied bail because she is a flight risk. She claims the procedure is a religious procedure tied to their Islamic faith.

I'm glad the judge denied her bail because she would run. Since she is claiming this is a religious practice she might not face jail time but will hopefully lose her license.
She needs to have her license taken away, her assets seized and deported if applicable.

Gimme a break with all the "lefty" nonsense. This is not a partison issue, no one is supporting this horrific behavior. It is illegal and barbaric. The doctor needs to be charged and jailed. I hope there are good records and all parents involved need to be arrested for child abuse and should lose custody of their children.

Performing this "procedure" is a federal crime, religion is irrelevant. She's claiming she didn't actually perform the mutilation but did some other "religious practice" that didn't involve cutting but if proven guilty of mutilation she will face prison. Five years is the max for the mutilation but she is facing 10 years to life on another related charge.

She's definitely not an Arab...with her name, she's almost certainly either from India or her parents are. She doesn't even look Arab.
