Corn dogs and a bag of chips don't supply much nutrition so I guess it's a wash.

Its not about corn dogs or cauliflower. Its about sodium and grains and flexibility.
But the bottom line is if they wont eat it, and many wont, the program is a wash, and a big waste of money.
Because all democrats agree that republicans hate children and are racists.
Do you hear yourself?! Do you believe your own psychobabble?!
i said that? where?

Went in to eat with grandson last year on grandparents day. Food was not edible. Most of the students were dumping it in the trash. Was not even sure what part of it was supposed to be.
My grandson mostly takes his lunch. That has become more difficult since the school removed the student microwaves. There are only a few school lunch meals he will eat. Most of it he wont eat even if he is hungry. He has yet to be hungry enough to eat food that is gross.
I'm pretty out of touch (no kids and 1993 was the last time I was in a public school), but I wasn't sure if that was still allowed. You hear stories about teachers and other do-gooders taking away certain food items from kids who bring stuff. Glad to hear it's still allowed for your grandson.
I never had school lunch. Maybe a few times in all the years I did public school. I always either brought my lunch or just went without. For the last two years of high school I had split lunch (lunch in the middle of class) and most of us just hung out in the classroom throughout. The cafeteria was foreign to me.

My daughter takes her lunch almost every day because the food served is not good.
The mandatory State indoctrination centers should just give kids a pill chalked full of vitamins and nutrients that also reinforces obedience to the government.

So, we should give in to the temper tantrums of kids and feed them what they want on a daily basis? So, back to a slice of pizza for lunch every day.
