In your example, the team has actually WON the Super Bowl in question.
They're not in the locker room popping the champagne at halftime.
Which is what happened with the House when they passed a bill that the Senate has no intention of even taking a vote on.

It's always funny to see some here try to say that the Russia thing has been going on soooooo long with no proof....as we still hear about Hillary's emails how many investigations and years later? It's still being looked into. The Russia thing is not over, to any conclusion. Who knows what will happen.
Alot of people seem to forget that the break-in at the Watergate occurred in June of 1972, the US Senate did not establish a select committee until February of 1973, and Nixon did not resign until August 9th 1974. That's over 2 years from start to finish.
These kinds of things are not resolved over night, or over the course of a few months for that matter. We're not going to get solid conclusions until perhaps some time towards the very end of this year or sometime next year.
Expect that it's pretty clear how Putin thinks. No secret that he hates Hillary. No secret that he correctly sees Trump as vain and manipulable.
And, yeah, it's speculative at present - but with more information coming in all the time.
