I dated a liberal college professor once. Good looking girl. She used to whine that she was discriminated because she was a woman. I used to tick her off when I would say aww you are discriminated against while making 150k a year lol. That was 10 years ago. Poor baby.

I've dated a lot of liberal/Democrats. They are all good people, so why not? (if I am still single.)

My fiance is a Republican/conservative just like myself; he is the best for me.

I think mutual respect and kindness are required, but nobody needs to feel that he/she has to check his/her emotions at door.

Yeah I have dated several liberal women. Mostly teachers. My wife is very conservative but we never talk politics.

Good point. I dont know if I could date someone who claims everything they don't like is due to racism.

"That guy didn't carry my groceries out because I'm black."

"He doesn't even work there. He just told you you dropped your sunglasses."

"Well if he wasn't a racist, he would have picked up my sunglasses for me."

Yeah, that would get annoying. The weather is racist for raining. The apple is racist for being a bit tart. It would get old.

The fact that you are in favor of anything, or that you even care, means that you are not apolitical. Anyone who was truly apolitical would not be posting here.

You've done a beautiful job of validating the point of that post.

Nooooo! Not the dog! Animals are even more important to me than politics, anything but the dog.

I am a Democrat. I would date a Republican. Actually I have some of my best conversations with Republican friends. I would not date someone who doesn't vote or who votes third party and thinks anyone who votes for the two major parties is stupid.

So I guess my answer is no, I wouldn't. I'll date someone with different beliefs. But I care, and won't date someone who doesn't.
