I am seeing reports that Comey went to Rod Rosenstein (Deputy Attorney General) to seek criminal charges for up to 40 people, and then Trump and Sessions decided to fire him.
Comey admitted he did not handle the Clinton investigation well. He may have very well shifted the opinion of the candidate because of that. He should have been fired.
Nothing wrong with admitting that.
THAT BEING SAID, there is no way this is going to help Donald Trump. It just makes him look bad now that we know the FBI was investigating him as well.

Wow. Can't say I'm surprised or disappointed. Comey will ultimately go down as collateral damage in the most divisive election in modern political history. He was pretty much in a lose-lose situation for the poor guy.
Hopefully now people--ahem looking at you Hillary--can stop using him as a crutch and move on already!
