Most polls have him somewhere between 35% and 45% approval, depending on what poll you look at. While that is nothing to write home about, given the kind of Presidency he has had so far, he is still surprisingly popular. Historically, this is the range where most Presidents bottom out. There are a few exceptions like Bush and Nixon who both went down into the 20s, but the 30s and 40s seem to be average bottoms for most Presidents. Even Presidents largely remembered fondly bottom out in this range at some point during their Presidency.
Other Presidents, have had their approval ratings tank into this territory for actions or situations far less significant than what Trump has had to face. If this were Obama, Bush, Clinton, etc, there is a good chance that their current approval would be in the 20s.
What gives with Trump? Do people just not care about the erratic behavior we have seen from this White House or is it simply party loyalty?

Only the crybaby leftists, the elitist media and the establishment hate Trump. REAL Americans love Trump and we are more in numbers than the rest combined.
Oh on top of these being the SAME polls that BLEW IT big time with the election so their "facts" are suspect at best and anyone who buys into them should be sold some ocean front property in Arizona.
PO'ing the leaders of Australia? Don't care. Firing Comey? Don't care. Trying to push for limited travel from certain countries to the US? Don't care. Saying "Grab them"? Don't care.
Cabinet picks? Not the best, not the worst in most cases. DeVos I hated. Trying to curb regulations? Glad he tried, but think he could have gone farther to insure it really happens. Supreme Court pick? Pretty dang happy. Budget? Not very happy, particularly with the defense spending. Cutting agencies? Mostly don't care.
Extending or starting new wars? Care a LOT. That's one of the things that'll change my opinion - which is just 'meh' to 'okay' right now.
Trump voters hate the people they associate with liberalism; gays, minorities, feminists, intellectuals and city-folk. They elected him to stick it to them, and he's done his best to keep THOSE promises. As long as he keeps playing to the LOLLIBRUHLTEARS crowd, they will support him, no matter how miserably he wrecks our nation.

The polls were actually right before the election. Clinton did win the popular vote. Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania had been wavering back and forth between toss-up status and leaning blue status during the entire cycle. Clinton made a huge mistake by taking them for granted.
