Just wait until Trump goes on his first foreign trip as president. The worldwide press is going to be asking him about Russia/Comey/the investigating every time they are near him. Wonder if he will duck away like he's been doing here, after he mouths "thank you" and gets away from the press as fast as he can. He couldn't even sign his executive order in front of the press without running away to hide....and his office set up the public signing.
At the very very least, he played patsy. Let's look at it logically.
Trump bashes (quite nastily) everyone foreign and domestic...except Putin.
Trump campaign has lots of tentacles reaching out to Russians....Jared, Carter Page, Manafort, Flynn, and maybe Donny Jr.
Trump asks Comey to stop investigation of Flynn-Russian ties.
Comey keeps trucking on Russia investigation.
Trump fires Comey.
The very next day, Trump meets with with Lavrov and Sislyak at Putin's request.
Trump shuts out the US media and cameras at said meeting, but allows TASS Russian cameras and mics in.
Trump reveals intel that was received from Israel to Russians without running by Israel.
Trump threatens Comey.
So....maybe you can say it is all just a yuuggge coincidence, but it sure looks really really shady or really really clueless and dumb.
If you choose to decide Trump is simply that stupid and naive--well, that's your right...
Trump planned to fire comey anyway....when he got the letter, he said it's time....why is that so hard to understand...
He did not threaten comey....your OPINION maybe that he did....but he did not....
So, lets get this straight, you'll believe an "anonymous source" rather than people that were in the meeting? If you choose to decide that "anonymous" is better than the people that were in the meeting...well...the left has the right to be stupid and naive.....
You DO realize that Obama was the actual PRESIDENT at the time, yes?
We all know what he meant......he was talking about that after November when he was President he would actually have more authority to have those official talks.
But at the time -- there was an election coming and it was not a good time to be discussing something with long term significance.
Obama's fault in that line -- assuming he was going to win - a little arrogant......oops he won.
