Our media has a voracious need for material; they have a lot of time and page space to fill.
Thus, it seems at times that there's literally nothing they won't cover and talk about.
Except for one thing, and it's an important one. Why is it important? Because, as they themselves are fond of telling us (over and over again) our media is a very important institution which impacts our country in a big way.
Imagine a country--any country--where the mass media has become strongly biased and pushes an agenda. Where it's become propagandistic. Important story, no?? That's the one story you will almost NEVER see covered or explored by our own major media. They won't touch it with a twenty foot pole.
Example # 3,817: Last week, some pointy-heads from Harvard (you know---that bastion of alt-right thought, Harvard) published a major study on media bias. Not a perfect study (none are), but pretty well done. And, just like bad kabuki theater, the lamestream media completely and utterly "gave it a good leaving alone". Just Google "Harvard, media bias, May 2017" and you will find only a few conservative sites which covered this story. Not a single one of the usual suspects even gave it a passing mention (except for one; to its credit, the Poynter Institute, which is hardly well-known but did give it some coverage).
Major story stretching back decades, worthy of coverage and debate---yet completely uncovered by the media.
And people wonder why the media is loathed, discredited and mocked.
It was also the case that Trump did most of the talking (see Figure 1). He was the featured speaker in nearly two-thirds (65 percent) of his coverage. Members of the administration, including his press secretary, accounted for 11 percent of the sound bites. Other Republicans, including Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan, accounted for 4 percent. Altogether, Republicans, inside and outside the administration, accounted for 80 percent of what newsmakers said about the Trump presidency.
Figure 1. Who Does the Talking When Trump Is the Story?
Source: Media Tenor, January 20-April 29, 2017. Excludes statements of news anchors and reporters. “Other” category includes, for example, experts, pundits, group spokespersons, and citizens.
For their part, Democrats did not have a large voice in Trump’s coverage, accounting for only 6 percent of the sound bites. Participants in anti-Trump protests and demonstrations accounted for an additional 3 percent.
Kinda makes it hard to cling to the story that the media are on a rampage to be negative to trump, since 80% of the story came directly from trump and his associates.

Being the "featured speaker" is a surprise?? He's the President. (And "featured speaker" hardly means his voice took up 65 % of the airtime or column inches--as you are implying).
Any thoughts on the actual subject of the post, Kat?? Of course not.
(By the way, a minor correction---add Real Clear Politics to the very short list of non-conservative outfits who covered this---they linked to a Heat Street piece).
