8 dead, including sheriff's deputy, in Mississippi shooting | abc7.com

While the big story of the day in-small town Mississippi which worships the Republicans is this story.

One of the top stories in the Los Angeles media was police making arrest in the assault of a gas station clerk

Seems like this sort of thing tends to happen alot in rural, red America. On a per-capita basis it far exceeds anything that occurs in big cities per-capita.

Big apartment fire in a very run-down apartment complex in Des Moines. Not to mention, Des Moines has three times the homicide rate of Los Angeles and 7 times the homicide rate of New York.

Having been in Des Moines, which is part of rural, red America there are lots of run down apartment buildings falling apart so these sad tragic events tend to occur more frequently.

There also seems to be terrible stuff going on in rural, red America that per-capita exceeds anything in giant, urban areas on per-capita basis.

In many of the red Midwestern states there are overcrowded, old apartment buildings with faulty wiring all over the place. There also seems to be absolutely no programs or criminal rehabilitation programs.

I dont know this is the Google Street View of a typical neighborhood here. No thanks, it certainly doesn't look like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York or San Francisco.

Besides, seems like the news tends to have lots of negative stories on Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Oklahoma.
