She and Lisa Daftari have been saying sharia law is being practiced here for years. We only hear about the honor killings and excessive punishments when someone reports them to the police and they make the news. Genital mutilation wasn't limited to those we recently read about.

Brigitte Gabriel is saying this needs to be addressed and is asking why feminists have remained silent about the rights of women.

And none of the lefties and pretend independents think this is an important discussion to have?
We already had this discussion by saying keep religious exemption out of the legal system. Yall said "Screw that! We need deeply held religious exemptions so that we can be a-holes to people we don't like." Now some other group also wants to be a-holes and you want the Left to do something about it? You made this bed. You opened the door with your narrow-minded desire to keep some kind of pathway to discrimination, so YOU deal with it.

I hope a Sharia court gets set up next to every pizzeria and cake store that thinks it's their right to discriminate based on their religion.

Excellent point.

I don't recall anyone pushing for sharia law in the USA. It looks like a made-up controversy.

I hope someone does b/c I want to hear Conservatives make the asinine argument that exemptions for religious freedom should only be given to Christians.

Wait a second!!!!!!!!! Time out!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it's ok for conservatives to impose Christian fundamentalist values on Americans but Sharia law is wrong? They are basically the same thing, the Talibangelicals from White Trashistan and the Islamic fundamentalists from the Middle East are two sides of the same coin.

Also, less than 1% of Americans are Muslim. The prospect of Sharia law being implemented here is next to zero. Even in Europe it's largely a figment of far-right blogs and Islamophobic bigots. Sharia law does NOT supersede the Queen's law in the UK either so you can forget whatever you heard on Fox News this past weekend.

I want at least one conservative to address the overwhelming and well documented problem of violence against American women by American men. No one seems to care about them as much as the profess to care about Muslim women.

^ this

They are all up in arms about Islamic terrorism (a whopping total of 2 attacks in the past 2 years) but completely ignore the rising threat from loosely organized White supremacist and "Alt-Right" groups who have carried out at least 4 attacks in the past 2 months that I have heard of. Which one is the bigger threat? Duh. There's a reason why the FBI lists right wing radicals, White supremacists, Puerto Rican independenistas (ie: Oscar Lopez), and even radical environmentalists ahead of Islamic fundamentalists in their annual internal security reports.

Also right here in Texas.
The city of Irving, Texas, will be the first to have an official Sharia court in the United States.

No, there is not yet Sharia law in full bloom in Dearborn. If that were the case we would likely have seen beheadings in the street already, But that does not mean Shari is not practiced there among residents.
Little Girls genital mutilation.

In fact, most Americans do. But targeting a minuscule example of it (the biggest advocate on this thread could literally name one town where it happens- of course with no evidence to back it up) is asinine. People are fighting for ALL women's rights, every day (remember the marches after the inauguration which drew bigger crowds than the inauguration itself?), so what makes you think they're ignoring this small segment of it? It all falls into the same category. Any violence or oppression against women is wrong- not going to a anti-sharia rally doesn't mean anyone's ignoring the problem. It's just that it's a microscopic component of a bigger problem; and for many people, it's an excuse to justify their anti-islamic sentiment.
No, that's not it.

Feminists seem to be very selective in their outrage.

You know - like SJW's are.
