Great post Lily. I feel the same way.

It's sad that Christianity gets so much hate from others but Muslims get a free pass on all their actions.

I'm a heathen. So I have no bias for one religious group over another. But I notice that the left tries to discredit the religious right in general when some whack job goes off the deep end and attacks, blacks, gays, Jews, etc. But when a muslim goes on an attack (Ft. Hood, Orlando, San Bernardino, etc., etc.) it's "work-place violence", "lone wolf", "mental illness", etc. The left would have more credibility if it wasn't such a double standard.

Don't get me wrong, the Islamic Fundamentalist nutjobs are dangerous too, and shame on the political "left" for down-playing the danger.

The reason for this is a lot of these right wing whack jobs have a strong following within the GOP. People like Steven Anderson, Kevin Swanson, Franklin Graham, Bryan Fischer, Jim Bakker, etc, etc, etc are hugely influential with conservatives.

That was like you threw a cup of water in my face... I never thought of it that way... you are on the money.

There's been a whopping total of 3 Islamic terrorist attacks in the US since 9/11: Fort Hood, San Bernadino, and Orlando. In 16 years total.

How many abortion clinics have been bombed/firebombed? How many Muslims have been attacked for being Muslims (or the many times Sikhs were confused with Muslims and attacked)? How many Hispanics have been attacked because racist ignoramuses think all Hispanics are illegal immigrants? Remember the Bundy standoff (after they attacked Federal employees) and the occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge? Those were all far-right/ Alt-Right inspired terrorist attacks.

We're not downplaying the danger, it's just that right wing radicals are right here ... and there are alot more of them. And the government of the day panders to them too.

Edit: I am not a liberal either. I am a moderate, center-right pragmatist.

You pivoted Right Wing is not the same as "Religious" by which you are trying to say Christian. Many from the most vocal so called White Wing are the pagan Thor/Odin worshiping Nazis
