It sounds like you're suggesting something. Maybe not have an artificial supported economy for the past 8 years based on low interest rates? Or something else?

We figured out how to automate rote tasks.

To stay employed, one best be doing higher level work which would require advanced ai to replicate.
Automation has taken place for 250 years...Thats why you dont work as a simple peasant.

You're not looking at it from a market's perspective. How do you think the market feels about all that regulation keeping our computers from burning our houses down, and phones from blowing up in our faces? This is just hurting the poor who can't afford to purchase safe products.

Is Trump promoting these feelings, or where are they coming from?
Yes, it should be zero. Government has no right to tell employers what to pay employees.

And it has nothing to do with Trump.

Trump won because he hires undocumented workers and pays them nothing?

You're right, never underestimate the stupidity of the average American voter.

The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 established the minimum wage at $.25 per hour. There was some southern Democratic opposition to the New Deal only because it sought to end racial discrimination associated with New Deal benefits.

The Fair Labor Standards Act and other programs associated with the New Deal were widely opposed by big business. There is no evidence that the FLSA was designed to keep blacks and women out of the work force.

It should be noted that the well to do in the United States never favored giving a break to working people. We were nothing more than disposable equipment during the Gilded Age, The twenties, during the depression, or now for that matter.

We also fight and die in their wars. It was my experience that those who went to Vietnam as wise guys came back just fine. The decent guys came back all messed up.

You can't have a zero dollar minimum wage but you can do away with having a minimum wage.
