It really comes down to a basic question- Which is better long-term both in terms of environmental sustainability and economic benefits: coal or alternatives?
If one looks at the facts without bias, the answer is very clear.

2) I did post this link Do Solar Panels Use More Energy Than They Generate? - Articles - Networx and ask that you refutre it factually, something you have yet to do

3) You've continually demonstrated your inability/refusal to learn a simple fact like the ownership of the New York Times so your credibility rating is quite low.

So, to sum up, until you prove your allegation, it will remain a baseless allegation.

Yeah, Trumpies seem to live in their own virtual dreamland, widely divorced from reality.

<<Equally important is the startling drop in the price of renewable energy sources. Many energy experts say renewables are poised to become a less expensive alternative to coal within the next decade....

It based that prediction on the remarkable drop in the cost of solar power. In approving proposals for new solar power plants, the Indian government seeks bids from prospective builders who compete to pledge the lowest price at which they anticipate selling power.

Five years ago, the lowest bid came in at 7 rupees, or 11 cents, per kilowatt-hour. In early May, the lowest bidder came in at less than half of that price, or 2.44 rupees per kilowatt-hour, a little under 4 cents, experts here say.

The latest bid makes solar power less expensive than coal, which sells for about 3 rupees per kilowatt-hour.

Many experts, such as CNBC commodity guru Dennis Gartman, even forecast the collapse in oil demand and prices in coming decades.

<<"He understands that crude oil, over the course of the next 20 to 40 years, is going to be a worthless commodity," said Gartman. "It will be supplanted by something else.">>

Gartman: The oil bear market has turned crude into a

Trump is an economic dingbat, whose policies likely will consign the U.S. to an also-ran status in non-fossil fuel energy, one of the fastest growing industries of the 21st century.

Coal even there is just a stop-gap measure, not a long-term, viable solution.
Third, your second graph clearly shows coal plummeting in usage in the US. I noticed you didn't provide a worldwide usage chart. I wonder why?
Finally, if you add up the renewables and nuclear, they already surpass coal-produced energy in the US, and as we all know, alternatives to coal already have FAR more related jobs.
They already are...They now lead the world in renewable energy..

China blazed ahead of the rest of the world in terms of investment in renewable energy last year, spending a total of $103bn, or 36% of the world total. China is world

How true, just like our phones, the majority of solar panels will be made in China. Thanks to Republican stonewalling on renewable energy, any lead in that area has been lost!

First and foremost you can't back off already installed air pollution measures. Secondly the 1990 amendment to the Clean Air Act which governs air pollution laws would require Congressional action to remove.

What substantive regulations have been eliminated that were not in place a year ago?

I suggest you carefully research the answer to this question. Googling and posting the first article that comes up is likely going to make you look foolish.

News flash, the most important piece of environmental law ever passed was the 1990 Amendment to the Clean Air Act. The keyword here being law, this was not an administrative action. In a odd occurrence it was entirely authored by the first Bush Administration before being passed by wide bipartisan vote in Congress. His environmental legacy is firm and will continue to be so unless there is further Congressional action.

This is what separates him from Obama, Obama did not work with Congress on these issues and that is why his legacy is being picked apart by Trump.

The article says coal industry is collapsing - taken from the point of view of the victims, er, the workers.

If you want to call the coal workers liars, be my guess. Actually, you already had.
