Perhaps on a personal level, but a political one? If I were PM of Canada and sitting at that table, I'd be wondering WTF did she do to deserve a place at the table.

It just makes the US look foolish.

Ivanka Trump sits in for President Trump at G-20 meeting - CBS News
So, you think it was "musical chairs"... That's so typical of a Trump devotee, trying anything to justify Trump..... Thank you for again representing how low America has sank !!!! Maybe you did not know, that as a nation; we have a Secretary of State, We also have a UN Ambassador, and any number of people In Official Roles, to put a face of America at the table in the absence of the President.
Under your concept, heck.. any options is open, to the extent they could have simply hired a hooker or something just to fill the seat. UNBELIEVABLE..... What is the next level you will go trying to Prop Up Trump and the disaster he has made of America... (Repeatedly) !!!!

Trump acted like a boy on a prepaid date with a call girl, when he met Putin... We are just lucky he did not get up and hug and kiss Putin right there on the stage in front of the world. At his age, he probably did not even need Viagra for the eagerness he felt about chance to meet Putin. he Declared!!! how "honored" he was.

Trump isn't stupid by any means but leaving someone else at the table to take his place is highly foolish, and yes it does make the U.S look bad as if we didn't need anymore help in that dept.

Even more so he shows that he doesn't respect anyone sitting that that table. He thinks he's beyond such things.

He is stupid by all measures. It doesn't take brains to bully your way through life.

This isn't a cocktail party it is a global leader networking opportunity to work out the world's problems. She has no say in where this country is heading.

Yeah, clearly, going into a meeting with Russia without having an agenda... is a winning strategy. Bigly.

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/r...205407233.html

We can only guess that Trump came, since he did not prepare for business on the International stage.... Putin was probably perplexed as to why Trump showed up, and Trump having no agenda, it probably frightened Putin to the point and its quite obvious Putin was likely shocked that Trump threw the US Intelligence Agency Under the Bus, a clear sign in the way Putin thinks is, "this man can't be trusted". Putin would never throw his Intelligence Agency under the bus... After than Put was assured that Trump was game for anything.

We can likely believe that Putin was praying that Trump would not bare and bend right there on the stage. It would have a been a sure death blow to America. Putin does not want that, heck he already bought the Administration.
Russia of all things, certainly would not want to achieve any goals by Trump doing the bend and bare means. Even as willing as Trump seemed to be.

Thus to put a cap on things, Putin said, Nothing is to be resolved on one meeting, it will take many more... As Putin is thinking in terms of Global Business, we don't know what Trump was thinking his glee was so elevated at just the thought of meeting Putin.

Trump probably left the meeting thinking... "Thank you Boss-man, thank you, thank you, thank you, now can you get your boys to back off a bit, I'll make the loan payment when my next check comes.

He's just the opposite. Look at everything he's said and he still got elected. Talking about women like they were trash, telling everyone that he's so popular that he could kill someone walking down the street and nothing would happen to him.

Lest we forget making fun of a handicapped person. His speeches were filled with hate and racism yet he STILL won the election. You might blame those who voted for him but in the end he played on the public's
racism and hate for those who voted for Obama and he was UNstoppable.

I would call that smart on his part he's a con man and knows how to work a crowd much like Hitler did.

Let that sink in for a moment.
