Video shows police officer beating homeless woman - CNN.com

Quote:
A police department in Georgia has reopened an internal investigation after a cellphone video surfaced showing a DeKalb County police officer striking a homeless woman with his baton several times during an arrest.
The woman is clearly resisting and not following any of the officer's orders.

Don't worry CNN is all over it. With their history of race baiting I am not at all surprised that they labeled this a "beating". An ASP baton, which was the officer was using, is designed to deal with people who are being non-complaint, but not necessarily violent. That is exactly what I saw in the video. CNN is just trying to **** in the pool again. Nothing to see here.

If she owned a house would it have been different ?

Why do we never see the headlines ? "Women fights cop who owns a house."

Actually from what I saw, not only is the woman reacting in pain, which anyone here would do, she was told to put her hands behind her back, and she was trying to, but the cops entire weight on his knee in her back was blocking the way, and he was yelling at her while she was struggling to do so. Wasnt really resisting.

Yep. Because the officer was alone, I have no problem with the amount of force he used to subdue to suspect. Now, had the officer been with a partner, the use of the baton would've been excessive as two people would've been able to handcuff the resisting woman easily.

He use it correctly on the meaty parts. Not on the bone or joints that would cause permanent injury. He wanted her to comply with his verbal commands and she did after he got her attention.
