Actually, the Michigan official reposted something from a NC blog. It appears to be mostly "hype". As far as I know, he has First Amendment rights.
Seems this has gotten more attention than the life of our President being threatened. That doesn't seem like a positive thing now does it? Libs jumped on board to claim First Amendment rights in that threat.

And yeah, suggesting that all Muslims should be killed is a call for violence and the courts have ruled that doing so is not a protected form of speech.
As for threats on Trump, that's circumstantial. Some just aren't threats. But to be clear, any public official who implies a threat of violence on the president's life should be taken seriously. If my mayor suggested an attempt on Trump's life, despite my disdain for Trump, I'd expect to see him arrested. Same with this guy, threatening a religious community, one who's already a target of many by the way. Statements like this put people at risk. It's wrong. No matter what your wordpress blog says.
