Trump has talked about going after high crime areas, like the gang warfare in Chicago. That's what they should be focusing on. Legal marijuana shouldn't be pursued, but illegal drugs being sold by gangs and financing organized crime should be a top priority. Meth is becoming a more serious problem and that should be focused on as well. Distributors and manufacturers should get life in prison if not the death penalty. Users should be treated in hospitals and rehab centers.

Oh goody! Sounds like the Trump administration's warming up to stage yet another Dog & Pony Show that will accomplish little/nothing for the good of the country. After seven years of empty promises the buffoons in Washington can't come up with a decent healthcare plan, opioid addiction is a real problem but yeah, let's make a show of hassling people creating far less problems than the drunks on our roadways 24/7/365.

I don't understand this logic. We have been making "illegal drugs being sold by gangs and financing organized crime" a top priority for 40+ years. It's called the War on Drugs. It doesn't work. It has never worked. It never will work. The more you ramp it up, the more damage it causes.
I think Sessions talks a good game, and if it were entirely up to him, marijuana users would be in a world of hurt.
But it isn't entirely up to him. He can, and probably will, cause some real damage to marijuana users. But he will also cause some real damage to Trump and the GOP. Because a majority of american voters are just tired of anti-marijuana zealots.
That would be ideal. The degenerate potheads and marijuana profiteers would be brought down and then Sessions and Trump would fall as a result of the action. Getting to have your cake and eat it too.

So in this dangerous America that Obama has created and Trump is trying to fix. A country full of illegal and rapist Mexicans, Muslim terrorist cells, thugs, and ANTIFA socialists that are attacking Trump supporters in public.......
Conservatives are okay that Sessions is going to spend tens of millions of our tax dollars on arresting a bunch of 20-something stoners? That's where you want YOUR tax dollars going? Not the bigger safety issues?
The white racists who are the base of trump's support, wanted this idiot to take them back to their lily-white 1950s. Well guess what dudes, that means back to no pot, no abortions, polluted rivers and lakes. Not everything was great in the 1950s.
