Now Trump has forced to left to focus all their energy on this, while he can point to them and tell the rest of the middle class Americans about how the left cares more about a fringe section of society then them
I had to look up "gender dysphoria" and it is when a person feels they should be a different gender then what they were born as...
I wonder how many other countries in the world struggle with this stuff like America does?
We are talking a tiny fraction of one percent of the population and of course they should be treated fairly and with respect but how far do the rest of us, the 99.9% need to bend over to accommodate them?
I think for the average American we have more important things to worry about then these people serving in the military etc..
The transgender issue provokes a strong emotional response, especially among evangelical Christians who believe in strict adherence to gender norms. That's why this is such a big issue.

How are you being asked to "bend over and accommodate" transgendered people?

Having to acknowledge they exist is enough for most of these conservatives. It's the same deal with how they get so angry about having to share a society with gay people. The mere fact that these people they believe the Bible considers "abominations" are allowed to exist in our society sets them off.

6/10th of one percent is a little more then a tiny fraction of 1 percent. Basically talking a little more then 1 out of every 200 people.
yet they don't vote. Dems are realizing they can't rely on them
Would agree that older voters are more reliable. Which should be interesting when the Republican Party increases health care costs on those 50 and older by five times. Will the older voter just smile and pay tens of thousands of dollars a year for health insurance? Or do without because of the GOP?
Democrats defend small demographics because there is no reason to attack them. If someone is really suffering from gender dysphoria, they are probably during a lot of pain. Why the GOP feels the need to make them more miserable is a mystery to me.
