Bernie: And people shouldn't be able to buy yachts or mansions. (Bla bla bla)
Me: But what about your three houses and your millions in salary?
Bernie: I'm not talking about me, I'm talking about the common people.

IDK about historians, but ordinary people will likely wonder why so many of those living in our time thought Democrats were filled with compassion for the working class.

No. I take it you are referring to the labor workers of the late 1800s. Back then, OSHA for occupational safety regulations was relatively non-existent. Child labor laws were not implemented either. It was a horrifying time for the labor force. The Homestead Strike by Pittsburgh steel workers in the late 1800s drives home the point.
Homestead Strike - Facts & Summary - HISTORY.com

With that said, the asymmetric distribution of wealth is common in many modern big cities. Just look at Miami as a modern example. There is not much room for the middle class to grow.

America has had no real revolution in 200 years, while other major nations has. A revolution shuffles the classes.

No, it's not false. Do some homework. "Progressivism" is Marxist-socialism.

Trump is trying to restore the middle class ...if the Democrats would let him and quit "resisting." The Democrats only talk like they're for the middle class. They have done nothing. Look at the past eight years ...family incomes down, home-ownership down, unemployment up (50% of labor force is unemployed). Do your homework.

70% - 31%, Republican president

The last 6 rate cuts, Republican president.

But most importantly - and THIS is where the nonpartisan historians and economists will see the start of the trend- Reagan CUT TAXES TO CORPORATIONS WHILE RAISING TAXES TO INDIVIDUALS in the form of the Medicare tax. And even this, only people making under 75k pay a certain percentage of.

People see Reagan as some sort of God nowadays. There are not enough capital letters to explain why it is exactly the opposite.

The left sells the public on “personal freedom”, incluidng the right to get rich, all the while knowing that the rich can do what they want to anyway.

So, both sides play everyone against the middle. Until we develop a new vision of a society—and social obligations—we’ll be stuck here until something breaks.
Our Federal Government was created by the States, with the idea of LIMITED GOVERNMENT with defined and limited powers. It was Democrats (progressives) who started down this path of regulating everything and totally ignoring the Constitution.

Define "working class." Doesn't everybody work? Do you think that CEO's and executives who run business don't work? "Working class" has come to mean "factory worker" and the only people who work. It's a lie of the Left. I used to wear a suit and tie every day, but believe me, I worked! I worked my butt off, and so did my wife, who was a GM of an upscale department store in Southern California.

You have a warped concept of reality that everyone is "out to get you." That isn't the real world. That isn't the country our Founders created. Democrats have sold you a bill of goods. They control you so that they can keep getting elected.

50% of labor force unemployed huh?

I've "done my homework" and this is 100% false. It's scary to see that people actually think this. Kudos on those "alternate facts."
