The gang members are low IQ thugs. Those men kneeling are just athletes. Taking a knee doesn't constitute being a thug. Committing violent crimes constitutes being a thug. For some people, being Black and doing something that some people disagree with(that happens to be legal) constitutes being a thug.

Yeah I'm okay living in a society that fosters freedom of speech and protest. Especially when a certain group of people tell everyone else how a million people died for that right in the first place.

If they say they do it in name of unity, why would you insist it is about something else? Is it because Trump said so? You feel you have to say what he says?

White people were involved too so perhaps the word thug wasn't used as a reference to only blacks?

That was a tongue in cheek statement showing that last year's protests were not as wide spread as this last weekend's. And that's true.
Of course. Last year it was a handful, and now its hundreds.

Its a simple statement so I'm not sure why so many are confused by it.

They are also confused about that the protest is about. They players, and owners, clearly stated it is to show unity, but some insist they are protesting against the flag, the country and the military. Confusion runs deep these days.

The number of players involved doesn't define the size of the issue on a macro societal level.

I’m just in a no win situation. I’m black. If I don’t support the kneeling then I’m called a sell out, coon, or Uncle Tom. I just don’t understand. They say they have the freedom and right to kneel but if I don’t also support them, I’m an Uncle Tom. Where is my right or freedom to choose? If you are white and don’t support them kneeling then you are automatically a raciest? You should see my Facebook feed. How can you preach freedom but then don’t give others the freedom to choose?
