Zachary Stinson is a perfect example of why we should protest. We did that to him and for what reason? No, that is not why the NFL is kneeling but it is a part of the reason why I have NO problem with the kneeling. We should all be giving a big middle finger to the country for what is is doing to the people.
No one will be able to explain when kneeling became disrespectful or why Zachary Stinson was in Afghanistan to start with. Why do we not care about the corruption in the police force in Baltimore? Why do we not care that there are very likely many behind bars simply because of this corruption.
The United States is corrupt. I want that changed.

The reason my husband took the oath and has been in the military as long as he has is because he enjoys what he does. He knows that there are dangers to the job and even death. He and every other military members know that personal sacrifice is part of it. My husband knows that the country didn't get his friend killed last year, it was his leadership on the field with him that did.
I'd argue that it's to the point that the black community can ONLY be policed by black police officers.
In the minds of many blacks--any confrontation between a white police officer and a black citizen automatically includes implicit bias. It's ALWAYS the leading scapegoat. For some odd reason, alot of black folks think they should never be considered suspects or charged with a crime by a white police officer regardless of the situation or circumstances; the incident with Michael Bennett being detained in Vegas is a clear cut example of that.
The impetus is that race is always the mitigating factor when the cop is white and the citizen is black. To explain otherwise is condoning "racism." In order to to get around that, (and the many law suits and destruction of public property, the riots and libel claims towards police officers) the only other answer is to strictly use black cops to police black neighborhoods. There's no other way around it.
So, sorry white folks. One more job you shouldn't have because people think this way.

Seems we have broke your husband also. It doesn't help but I did not support that.
Quit being so defensive, I spoke directly to what you mentioned regarding MLK, violence and the type of protest the NFL players are engaged in. I did not mention BLM and they have nothing to do with this.
And note that MLK "lost" because he lost his life. Who is "they" who you think lost? And you don't know that MLK was smarter than anyone. Honestly, I think you are in over your head when you brought up MLK. He has nothing to do with this and they are taking a page from his book (they as in Kap and the NFL players) by engaging in a non-violent protest that actually is strategic.
No one said all white people want to hate black people either. Please stay focused. Don't equate MLK with NFL players who are emulating him - they are not trying to be him and you are not knowledgeable about their intelligence. Also just because we are discussing a protest by primarily black men doesn't mean that I or other black people believe that all whites are racist or you hate black people or want to hate black people (I'll note I find it very odd that white people say this anytime blacks say or do anything they don't like - they try to victimize themselves while at the same time tell blacks to stop being victims, it is very hypocritical and contradictory).
On "sympathetic protests" again taking a knee is a sign of honor, it is sympathetic to veterans who aren't defensive or closeted racist and who are making everything about themselves, while ignoring the fact that a disproportionate amount of black men and women are actually veterans. Also the protest is not about veterans. Only our idiot President and ignorant people keep bringing up vets as if our anthem is only about veterans or the flag is only about veterans or a symbol for veterans when neither are not.
"I think many of you just don't want the blacks doing anything you don't like cause you don't want to think about the blacks and think they're all lying and fit every stereotype that you hold of them. I really don't get why you brought up violence in regards to kneeling during an anthem."
Direct quote from your post that I was replying too. And you weren't the first to imply that white people just don't like it when black people do this or that. I once read an article in a newspaper after the Zimmerman trial that black people need to watch out because white people now have permission to shoot black people, as if the law was the only thing holding us back prior to that trial. I also have read many comments from black people saying white people are trying to eliminate black people ("they're killing us off"). Never mind actual crime statistics that prove that's not true.
I normally agree with you much of the time, but I don't in this instance. This protest has been designed to alienate rather that illuminate. They have the media on their side. They didn't need to do it this way.
And taking a knee while wearing pig cop socks is not a sign of honor. Did you know that 42% of deliberate cop killings from 1980 to 2013 were committed by black people? Did you know cops are 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black civilian than black people are to be killed by cops? A conversation needs to be had, and both sides should listen.

Baltimore is the last place people should be booing.
Is the police force in Baltimore federally assigned?
