That would be the best case scenario. The reality is that they are people of average intelligence that have swallowed a bellyful of populist propaganda because it makes them feel good, have little knowledge of American history nor care to obtain it - and continue to support a President that is working everyday to undermine the Constitutional protections we once took for granted. It's easy to decry them as idiots, but they are powerful in that they have the ability to destroy everything that we've worked toward since the American Revolution.

Since Trump has been caught in a lie and there's no way to spin it, I assume most Trump supporters would just comeback with a generic response like "Trump is playing chess, mainstream liberal media is playing checkers. Trump lies about little things just to keep the media tied up with nothing burgers."

Not hard to believe that the BSA person thanked him for his speech before he left the venue not realizing he was going to face backlash.
I'm not going to bother researching whats happening with Mexico's southern border, but again not hard to believe that if it has slowed down, something was stated about that at the G20 if they had a conversation.
Boy Scout leaders have already spoken out saying "there was no call to the president." Another flat out lie.
