And once again, the title of this thread is a joke and a lie because Trump never ever ever said he wanted to invade Venezuela.
How does one go about writing a complete lie as a title to a thread and get away with that? I guess the moderators would know or they just don't care.
Does a president need to state that we need to keep military options open in Qatar, Kenya, Sudan, why the need for this statement by a president.
Will Trump keep his military options open in every civil war or just this one.

That's a good question.

I wonder who planted that seed in his head to begin with. The Pentagon seemed stunned at his announcement. So did the Congressional Republicans.

Sounds good to me. Russia can get bogged down in as many countries as they like and we should stay out unless it Directly affects us. I believe almost everything we do can be handled diplomatically, and I make my living in the Defense Industry . We should have never went in to Somalia, Iraq 1 and 2, Bosnia, Libya, Yemen or Syria.

btw That comment is dripping with so much sarcasm anyone who reads it will need 2 beach towels to dry off.

The best part of it is the loony left will be in to denounce trump over this even though they ignored it when obama got involved in other nations civil wars like Benghazis gun running which got 4 Americans killed. Any wonder why the loony left gets no respect? You either believe in something or you don't. Any wonder why we continue with these unConstitutional acts? Because neither side will hold themselves responsible.

The use of force by our military should only be exercised when our borders are being threatened.

I love watching the media meltdowns every time he speaks at this point.

Did not vote for the man, but I get it.

Obviously we're not invading Venezuela. Duh.

If it was Obama, I would believe him. "Syria, Libya, Yemen"

That is not the point Sherlock. The mere mention of this by Trump is a gift to Maduro and only strengthens his hand and weakens the democratic opposition.

Nobody will ever accuse Trump of playing the long game. This is what happens when you hire a reality TV star for President. Not pointing the finger at you since you didn't vote for him.....but damn this guy is a fool.

Brilliant post.......... Too bad it's wasted on people who have no clue about Geography or World Affairs. Too busy watching Duck Dynasty reruns.

Don't you hate it when a president draws a line in the sand?

I'm not looking for sarcasm from a president, I was hoping for an intelligent statement critical of Venezuela's removal of judges and a rigged election and instead this is what I got. Even if you are correct that he is smart enough to understand satire, it's not the time for statements like that.
