I'm going to keep typing this until my fingers bleed. Jason Kessler organized an INVASION of Charlottesville to protest the right of the city's residents to self-determination regarding the presence of a statue that was installed in 1924 by a Virginia philanthropist and not an official war memorial. The elected members of City Council voted to remove and sell the statue, but apparently that doesn't matter. The irony of this action I'm sure will be lost on those who defend the UnitetheWhite movement.
Irony is suffering a painful death.
If the Unite the White movement wants the statue, they can put in a bid.
But to march around with torches, chanting Nazi slogans, intimidating people. What's that about?
If it's a distraction, I doubt Mueller and team are distracted.
If it's a rally-the-Republican-base move, will be interesting to see who tries to minimize it.

The kid in the car wasnt even a part of his legal protest of the statue being taken down. The left sent in tanti protesters to shake things up and succeeded. Yes, he was a part of the White Nationalist protest. There are photos of him all over the internet, with his identically dressed cohorts, taking place in the rally, holding a shield with a Nazi symbol on it.

Have you watched videos of the scene before the lunatic drove his muscle car into them? It was a peaceful group of people representing varying ethnicities. There was a counter protestor carrying a sign that said "Love" for God's sake! Stop deflecting. UnitetheWhite INVADED Charlottesville, and the people there have paid a terrible price for it.

That was not the case for the people who were gathered where the woman died and so many others were injured. He targeted them simply because they were counterprotestors. His was not an act of self-defense. It was a deliberate and horrific act of violence.
Because A. It's false equivalance and B. We know he doesn't mean it and was forced to say it.
There is no moral equivalence between being a Neo-Nazi and an anti-Neo-Nazi.
Similarly, Trump said nothing all day, until forced to give a half-hearted response. Usually he's tweeting like crazy all day when there are major news events.
We all know that if a Muslim did something like this, there would be a billion Trump tweets claiming we need a Muslim ban and other idiocy. But when Trump cultists drive vehicles into crowds, no response (because we know Trump has no issue with terrorism; his issue is with immigrants and minorities).
In the past SPLC and other Leftist groups hired actors to wave Nazy flags etc...at events like this..it would be worth an investigation by LE to see if this happened at this event.

Dividers; now that's a phrase I haven't heard yet but your right it is history and allowing the statue to be part of a museum grounds would be more appropriate.
The problem here, is Unite the Right is being completely disingenuous when they call themselves a peaceful gathering. That's like a kid rolling their eyes at you and saying "what, I didn't say anything!"

This was anything but a peaceful gathering. This event was meant to invoke terror and horrific memories in the hearts of Black people in the town. TORCHES?? REALLY??
They came with no intention of peaceful gathering.
They want to be able to clearly communicate hostility and terror and then say "what? we didn't harm anyone. All we did was stand here peacefully and they started it!" Yeah. That didn't even work in kindergarten, lads.
Antifa and BLM started throwing bricks and attacking the peaceful, and legal protesters....Antifa and BLM did not have a permit.
