Why do we blame the politicians?? We are the ones who vote them in. How many politicians have been in power for decades?? Aren't you sick of it all??? Can you imagine a Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush, and possibly Clinton, Clinton line of presidents??? 2 FAMILIES in the past 25 years ruling our country????? My GOD!!
It's time we cleaned out the messes in our own houses (Republican and Democrat) first before attacking the other party. We no longer vote for the best person for President, we vote for the lesser of two evils or along our party lines. Start thinking for yourselves and stop letting your political affiliation define who you are.
Honestly, would everyone be upset if every politician were "fired" tomorrow and we started anew?????
My economics are socialist, my politics liberal, my love for my Constitution and country unlimited. I want this to be a better place for everyone, not just the Chosen of Mammon.
Greg - I found a great quiz that categorizes leanings not just on the Nolan or linear scale. Look up the "3-Line Quiz". The guy is working on a 4-Line quiz that's supposed to be more accurate. What I found interesting is that on the 4-Line Quiz he does have the chart available...it states "Socialism (Anti-Globalization) Economic Stability" and on the other end "Capitalism (Free Trade) Economic Freedom". I'm interested to see where I am on this...I'm against globalization but consider myself a capitalist...
Another thought for all - I'm reading a great book, "The Radicalism of the American Revolution". In the beginning (where I'm at) it discusses the heirarchy of the gentry in pre-Revolution America. I immediately saw the parallel between the gentry of that era and the "elite" or the "CEOs" or the "rich" as they're called today...very interesting. (the more things change the more they stay the same)
There is a right-wing and a left-wing machine in this country...they are the DNC and RNC. Until people ally themselves with their values instead of their party it will remain the same.
