There is no evidence whatsoever that either of these trends are about to reverse themselves in the short-term.
In essence, they feel they have nothing to lose. I suspect they may be right.

It makes it very embarrassing to be a citizen here.
Yes, it is embarrassing. But well spoken corrupt people who are good at hiding their corruption and manipulating people's emotions with their forked tongues are much more so. That's what we've had for many decades.

We should chide corrupt manipulators for their deceit not for their eloquence.

Come on...surely we don't have to choose between professionalism and integrity? Not that they're mutually exclusive in any way.

People need to raise their standards a bit. Neither Hillary or Donald are fit to even be admin assistants, much less politicians.

I mean, him in any elected office is pretty ridiculous, but I could at least tolerate Kid Rock in the House of Representatives or something. But the Senate? Why?
I could ask the same question about Al Franken, and here we are.

Al franken was a comedy writer, I believe he has a MFA, plus he was a political radio host for a while. It's a head scratcher but not a "I lost all faith in humanity" event.
