After having traveled around the world 3 times and being in over 70 countries, the ignorance some people exhibit when it comes to realizing just how fortunate they are to live in the United States is disheartening.
You take so many things for granted. There are so many places in the world that have ruts for roads, no health care, no phone where you can call 911 and get help almost immediately with any problem you have, clean water is available if you are willing to walk miles with a bucket to get it, electricity consists of battery operated flashlight, a 'healthy' meal is a bowl of rice. If a neighboring town don't like you for any reason, they are apt to come over and kill you with no fear of reprisal.
And you sit there on your couch, in your AC, eating your Twinkie, typing on your computer about how how horrid your country is and how offended you are about the least little thing.
In caase this hasn't been posted, or read, here's from the NFL rulebook -
"The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the NFL League Rulebook. It states:
“The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.
“During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition...
...It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Then why haven't the officials done anything about it?
Then why haven't the officials done anything about it?
Because the league is run by PC pansies who don't want to "offend" anyone. However, their inaction has actually offended a large part of their audience who is now TUNING OUT, and not buying their crap. The fact that they allow their uniforms, teams, stadiums, fans, viewers, and sponsors to be USED to promote a false narrative is unacceptable to many.

Why is freedom of speech unacceptable?
