A passenger on a Southwest flight Tuesday from Baltimore to Los Angeles was pulled off of the plane after saying she had a life-threatening dog allergy with two dogs on board.

Airline officials said an emotional support dog and a pet were both on the plane. The woman reportedly claimed to be extremely allergic to dogs and wanted the animals removed.

She told officials she needed to stay on the plane because her father was having surgery.

If you are allergic? Then why not plan ahead of time and make sure theres no animals on board?

Society at large cannot be expected to comply with every single obscure condition of every single obscure human on the planet...

And yet - SW is going to fold and cow tow to this woman by contacting her. Total BS - if you have a life threatening condition you should have a certificate to say so - just in case something happens so the paramedics can determine what may be the problem.

Some one who just wanted their 15 minutes of fame.

I am pretty sure she can get dog allergy shots to help her. Every time I leave my house, I see dogs. They are everywhere, so how does she manage to even go shopping, if she is that allergic.

She's an idiot and isn't going to get any sort of a paycheck if that's what she is looking for. Complete moron. If SW pays her I'm boycotting them for a while, their prices aren't that great anymore anyway. I guarantee she knew there was dogs on there she would have seen them, before she even got on the plane!!! Unless she was the last one on and showed up late.

She wouldn't leave so they took her off... snore.

If she had had a medical certificate then what? People with the dogs kicked off?

The people with the dogs weren't the ones trying to have someone else forced off the flight. If you have a special condition like this you should be the one that bears the brunt of the accommodation, not some random person minding their own business. That means YOU get off the flight and YOU take the next flight, not force someone else to.

This is just one example of how many mentally sick people are out running around loose in today's society.

Sure there's a slim chance to none that this person actually does have some type of dog allergy. I doubt it though.

If she wasn't lying about her father I feel really bad for her but she should have tried to work it out, before she sat down on the damn plane. It's easy to get from Balt. to L.A. on Southwest. She possibly could have went through Pittsburgh, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, or Chi. She would just be rerouted. They would have figured it out with possibly only an hour difference in flight times.
