I hope this was a stupid prank gone bad and that none of them get kicked out.
I have a friend who graduated from west point. He is extremely bright too.
He did something stupid years ago and his military career ended because of it. I guess you just have to be a more well-rounded person in order to be successful in this competitive society.
well, "Everyone is a genius. But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing it is stupid.”
Let's give it some time now. It's a 50/50 chance that it might have been done by a Black person given past history.
>>>> That seems to be the case and I've said that. Likewise I'm skeptical of any racist or discriminatory incident that generates immediate attention and leaves little , if any, evidence as to who may have done it. The media may run with a story and do no fact checking but we as citizens have to be a little more cautious before we jump to conclusions.
You realize that exact same argument also applies to the black people you're baselessly accusing of vandalizing their own doors, right?
The current cultural narrative says they will be forgiven even if found out, and that even if they are bounced from the academy, they have a career in the "I was oppressed" spotlight, as everyone will forgive the hoax and then refocus back to the "yeah, but everything is still racist, m'kay?" narrative.
And an aggrieved "oppressed person" perpetrating a hoax is far more likely to get forgiveness from the institution than would a legit aggressor perpetrating actual racial discrimination in a physical form. Anyone with an ounce of intellectual honesty would understand that implicitly.

Exactly! I've lost count of how many times I've read in the news about racially charged incidents involving a "minority" victim and supposedly white perp(s). In the end it turns out many times it's the "minority" victim who made the story up. This type of incident has primarily occurred at educational institutions (college campus') across the nation. Manson did the same damn thing, while your b*&&sh*$$ing. In Manson's case, his "crew" would kill some whites and then leave a drivers license, wallet, etc. with identification of a black person at the crime scene. This sh*% is real.
The "race card" has worked so well over the years that it's almost too irresistible for some to pass up and use, to their advantage if they know that they can get something to their benefit out of it. Remember that saying "whatever it takes"?
I will wager dimes to donuts right now that it is a hoax. The history of these "look what someone wrote/drew/etc that oppressed me" events is almost 100% reliable to be a hoax perpetrated by the person claiming to be the "victim."
Why would someone go through what it takes to even be accepted to one of the most prestigious universities our nation has just so they can trash their entire future away by vandalizing a fellow cadet's door with nonsense that they know for certain will wreck their entire future? Occam's Razor suggests, quite strongly, that oh yeah....THEY WOULDN'T.
Hoax.
Why do people do any of the things that they do?
It's not like there haven't been other issues at the Academy:
