If they had to grandfather in existing gun owners little would change. Citizens wouldn't take too well to the Govt stealing their expensive firearms.

No one has ever answered my question, what purpose is a "registration"?

Most guns aren't traceable, what do we do with those? Make it a felony? How many new prisons are we going to need for these millions of new felons?

I haven't been able to watch SNL in years. It's not funny anymore, and they've gone full retard with the partisan politics.

They could really learn something from shows like South Park or Family guy that are actually funny because they make fun of everyone and display no political agenda despite their creators being pretty liberal.

Lets take it a step further and restrict the movie industry to no more than 2 violent movies a year, and how about restricting video games to 1 a year.
Maybe newspapers and news shows can be limited to 2 violent story's per day/issue.
The constitution doesn't specifically state that freedom of speech is 24/7.... So you get 1 hour of free speech per day.
Just think no more endless bad news, no violent movies or games, no rabble rouser's getting people angry, Amerika would become the utopia you libs are always dreaming about.

I didn't say confiscation, so the government wouldn't be stealing anyone's gun. A gun collector could meet the quota by selling off part of their collection.

Shocked you are asking about registration. Why do cars have license plates and registration? Partly because cars were used in the commission of crimes. Licenses and registration help identify the owner, as well as to trace stolen cars. No reason the same logic can't be applied to weapons as well.

Government control is what the left advocates. Registration is the beginning of confiscation, we learned that in WWII history. It's how Germany was disarmed and jews were rounded up all over Europe. Paddock already broke numerous laws. No amount of new laws, which only hurt the law-abiding, would've stopped him. The left ignores that because they're too emotional to see past the "we have to do something" feelings.

"full retard" -- really?

What does that even mean?

Let's have a law that limits to you to 1 pen, 1 typewriter and one keyboard. There is no mention in the first of how many pens you may own.

I had to double check (no not really) but there is no amendment that gives you the right to bear automobiles.
Just like you have no right to air travel hence why a no fly list is constitutional, but a no gun buy list is not without due process.
Its mind boggling how the left are so completely ignorant when it comes to our constitution.
