he lost any moral high ground when he resorted to name calling and making up nonsense about some golden age. Kelly should have stopped after talking about his own loss....
it is true what many have been saying.... Trump lessens everyone around him.

Good grief you people can find anything to complain about
I think Kelly was honestly stunned by Rep. Frederica Wilson's participation in the call and her comments. On the other hand, he didn't deny what Wilson said. Trump did, and Kelly left him hung out to dry by not backing him up.
John Kelly and Colin Powell sold their souls and their honor for power. As far as I’m concerned, they both belong in a septic tank. McMaster isn’t too far behind either.
The idea that someone died while doing something they loved and the idea that that persons survivors are comforted by that thought is hardly a novel concept.
I just read an obituary last week that said, "We are comforted by knowing he died doing what he loved." This was in reference to someone who was part of a motorcycle group who died in a motorcycle accident.
The obit was written by the surviving spouse/children.
Its a common thing said when people die doing something they love........ususally something dangerous with higher likelihood of death than other things.
The leftist outrage over this sentiment is entirely manufactured out of hatred for Trump. That wouldn't matter except that their exploitation of a dead soldier and his grieving family is truly revolting and vile.

Also if you listen to what he said about empty barrels making the most noise, yearning for a time when women were respected and Gold Star families as well, ... Can't help but wonder if he was getting a few digs in at Trump.

The man has to stay at that job. Duty calls.
The bolded might be your style, but I doubt that General Kelly feels the need to make passive aggressive digs at the Pres.
Pretty sure if he wanted to make a statement against the Pres he would do so.
