Instead we get crap like this from Bible-thumping Republicans in backwater states. Alabama tried to force a 12-year-old victim of rape by a family member to give birth, labeling her as the perpetrator of the crime, not the deviant who raped her.

Clinton: engaged in rape as an adult and in the 21st century, and so we should judge this using 21st century morals.
Moore: engaged in pedophilia as an young man in the 20th century. The 20th century had different moral and standards of conduct. Thus, I don't think we should judge him harshly.
I personally don't think rape, pedophilia, etc are bad at all. They shouldn't be felonies. But that's a different story
Pedophilia is listed as a psychiatric condition by the American Psychiatric Association up to age 13, the relationship with older children is simply creepy and often illegal. Moore's crime would be sexual assault on a minor and there is no statute of limitations on that in Alabama.
Why would the cut off be 13 yrs old...that just seems odd to me.
Im not defending this in anyway, I think its highly inappropriate, but not that long ago, majority of people thought interracial and homosexual couples were also creepy and some aspects were illegal/ taboo. NO tv network or movie would air these things in a positive light.
Just saying this was not that long ago, and peoples minds were changed on these things largely thanks to media desensitizing people to it slowly over time.

I'm not an AL resident, so it ultimately doesn't matter to me.
I'm more concerned about how we have altered our historical acceptance of rape and pedophilia into the modern day morals. I'd like to return to the good old days. Trump will help make america great again on the morality front.
It may be HIGHLY inappropriate, but a 14 yr old is not exactly 'child molestation' territory.
