It was the primary voters in the R party who gave him their party's nomination, so many approved of him more than other contenders for the nomination. The rulers of the R party didn't want him and still don't.

Who you call Trump 'worshippers' i.e. 'deplorables' in Hillary-speak, wanted a change and hoped Trump could bring some. Whether you approve or not, he has.

No question. The majority of the GOP, in the primaries, chose to indulge their childish desire for playground level bombastic smack talk, some misplaced sense of revenge and just generally being mean to people who they don't like - with no thought for consequences.

How's that working out for 'em? They're slowly discovering (and the sharp ones already have) that THEY are among the people who he looks down on too. lol

Well, elections have consequences. Most Trump supporters believe the change has been for the better.

Not sure you are qualified to assess sanity.

What kind of change has he brought that his supporters voted for? Additionally, many more people voted for Trump than actual approve of him now. One of the keys to intelligence is the ability to change one's mind about a previously held belief when the evidence doesn't match up.

Longstanding international agreements have been weakened or outright abrogated. Trade-deals, basic to international commerce and investment, have been suspended. Insult and invective have replaced the normal decorum of diplomacy. Immigrants have been vilified as being enemies of good order, security or prosperity. The press has been tarried as being illegitimate, or outright evil. Meanwhile, some of the most scurrilous and retrograde elements of American society have been allowed to go mainstream.

Indeed. I was hoping the original Trump supporter would answer this, because I really was curious to know how he or she would spin all this.
