Nothing Obama did would pass muster with the GOP even though again it was *THEIR* guy and forces aligned with that party (Heritage Foundation for a start) that supported and or designed a type of universal healthcare system.
The rapid hatred of Obama because of his race has been well documented in this forum and elsewhere via comments and so forth. His Orangeness, the administration and GOP controlled Congress have wasted no time in rolling back and or destroying rules or whatever that came out of the previous administration even when they were passed by bi-partisan support, and or are actually doing good/causing no harm.
It's exactly what you meant or your wouldn't have said it. So now that you may finally realize that Obamacare is a disaster you're doing the Democrat thing,... pointing blame elsewhere.
And in your attempt to place blame elsewhere your also saying that even though Democrats claimed to write the law, now your claiming they copied it.
This country needs two strong political parties to keep each other honest. We can't function without them and would probably fall into what would essentially be a dictatorship, if just one party became completely dominant.
When have the two parties been honest? I missed that. They both are anything but. What we have now is one big party with two branches that have different names. Which is why we essentially have a dictatorship or at least a police state in many ways. The problem is people like you who take the bait and really believe their party is important and looking out for them which is totally not true.
The secret congressional sexual harassment settlements done by members of both parties is proof enough they are looking out for each other not people like you.
Because we have to subsidized red states. Red states are poor and need the help.
LOL, please understand what your talking about before posting.
You do realize that he's asking why "state and local taxes" that fund the state of blue states are so high? And then they write off those high taxes against federal taxes which means blue states are short changing the federal coffers and then they have the audacity to demand higher taxes because federal government needs more money.

Yep. And that's why they hate Trump. He's not playing ball Democrat or Republicans way.
If you want to look at the budgets that Obama was responsible for deleting 2009 because bush set that budget and adding 2017 you have 6.5 Trillion in added debt. 8 years of Obama budgets. He was the president the buck stopped with him.
So Obama had the weakest growth of any post war president, biggest debt increase and the Obamacare fiasco and yet there some on the left defending all of it as some sort of success.
The problems didn’t just stop in 2009, you cannot dismiss the effects of the Great Recession as a one year event. No one was turning that freight train around in one year with those job numbers and foreclosures.

Most of the poor are red states. My home state, Mississippi, is the worst. Without the federal government they wouldn't survive. They can't afford higher taxes which would improve their state, they can't afford healthcare. And the healthcare they did have with the ACA will be taken away from them.
It's exactly what you meant. Below I quoted your comment.

You can't see past skin color. If I don't like legislation, I don't give a damn what skin color or gender someone is I'm not going to like it, PERIOD.
In this quote you also claim Obama did something then in another post you claim Obama and Democrats copied the HC legislation. Geez, make up your mind.
Some day you might actually open your mind and see past skin color and understand the world doesn't revolve around physical features. Don't worry, Democrats work very hard to keep your mind closed because it benefits them. You want to have a beef and be angry because of someone physical feature that's on you.

Rates could be brought down by working *with* insurance companies and or other means; but the GOP has never been interested in seeing ACA actually work. Remove their rapid hatred of Obama and there aren't too many reasons for not wanting to see the thing work.
Lord knows the GOP has had nearly eight or nine years to come up with a replacement for ACA, but they cannot or will not. Two main reasons for this is the harsh anti-Obama feelings means working to save and or improve anything that came out of that administration is a non starter for some hard core GOP. The other reason is more practical members of that party both in Washington, D.C. and local governments see the benefits.

If it hadn't been for aggressive GOP obstruction all the way through for the ACA, it would have become a single-payer healthcare program for everyone. The insurance and benefit-management companies and their lobbyists, would be the only ones not served well by it.

LOL, so your saying that govt stops big companies from benefiting from legislations. And what planet are you living on? Gee, if that's the case I wonder why there are so many lobbyist living in DC.

Obamacare wouldn't have been a disaster if it was actually allowed to do what it intended to do, which was lower healthcare premiums.
Unfortunately, after it was passed the GOP obtained control of Congress and wanted nothing to do with improving Obamacare. Instead, they wasted 8 years trying to repeal it with no viable replacement.
Everyone also seems to have revisionist history as to what was going on with healthcare premiums prior to Obamacare. Much of the reason for Obamacare's existence is that skyrocketing healthcare costs were pricing people out of health insurance and it was costing too much to provide healthcare for the uninsured via use of the emergency room. At the time (2007 - 2009ish) both Republicans and Democrats were discussing healthcare reform (it was a bipartisan issue). It was only after Obama and the Democrats passed the ACA that the Republicans decided that they no longer supported healthcare reform and instead would have preferred to go to the same "broken" system that caused Obamacare in the first place.
I'd argue to everyone complaining about their premium increase under Obamacare that those increases would've likely happened anyways. I'm sure that there are certain scenarios where it may not have been the case, or people would've been able to purchase bare bones catastrophic coverage, but the vast majority of people would've likely seen their premiums increase by as much if not more had Obamacare not existed.
