It's been around longer then that, was just forced into hiding.

Guess what we believed in just before the Great Depression.

It's really trickle up economics, they just misnamed it to trick people.

Default Such a great tax bill

It is being rewritten on the floor as we browse these posts.
https://www.politico.com/story/2017/...ax-bill-270511
Think about that -- this GREAT tax bill is being rewritten -- maybe it wasn't so great after all .

Thing is -- nobody is going to have a chance to re - evaluate the content if they vote tonight.

How can they vote without financial analysis of it all?

this is the swamp in action. ...but as long as they are Republicans it is all good according to Republicans....Democrats will object but truth -- if it was the other way around Democrats would have no problem with them voting on a bill 'rewritten' at the last minute.

Such a great country deserves better govt.

The tax bill increases the standard deduction to $24, 400. Now-how many of you whining about the bill HONESTLY pay more than this in mortgage INTEREST and property taxes? It's not "the poor". Or even a significant portion of the middle class. It will only impact a small number of high-income earners. You know, "the rich" the left like to demonize.
You neglected to mention the removal of the personal deduction. You fail to mention what will happen to the national debt. I may do better under this new law, maybe not, but I can see how payments on the increasing national debt may someday crowd out medicare and medicaid. Interest rates will rise in the coming months and servicing the debt will only increase. We are overdue for a recession and I can see the treasury yield curve starting to flatten out. What happens to revenues then?

These are my concerns and the reasons for my opposition is that it is anything but tax reform. Toyman, I don't think that I confused you with what I said, but I surely confused those who responded bitterly with their one line responses.

Default Sen. Rubio Spills the Beans: the Repub Tax Cut is a Ploy to Cut Social Security and Medicare

https://twitter.com/latimes/status/936294162219008000

We knew it all along. It was really FISHY when Repubs, who have been complaining about deficits and the debt for many years, now suddenly turn tail and support a big tax cut that will drive up the debt by at least $1.5 Trillion.

The big plan is to cut taxes, grow the deficit, and then use it as an excuse to slash Social Security and Medicare.

Sorry Trump supporters -- you thought you were draining the swamp. Instead you got played.

Flake and Corker don't care if they ruin the party as they're on the way out and hold a grudge. Collins is more democrat than republican. No surprise here, called this a while back. I give chances of passing 30%
