Youtube is at it's best when it's allowed to be the wild west like the rest of the internet. Youtube is slowly trying to be like Hulu/Netflix and be like "television" this is all that it's leading up to. They want more advertisers for their youtube red crap. As somebody else said, this would be the perfect time for somebody to swoop in with an alternative.

Yawn.

Doesn't bother me. It's not like they haven't already been censoring.

They are not terrible at what they do. The reason why these Big Tech Giants (Google, YouTube, Amazon, etc.) are so big is that people have been successfully brainwashed into believing that there are no equally viable options to them. The competitors then fail because not enough of the sheeple can tear themselves away from these Big Tech Giants to try them out. I've been using Bing for several years now without fail. If more people jumped ship from Google, they'd see what an overrated piece of it was and wonder why they became so obsessed with it. But of course they won't, so that's why it's not as popular as it could be.

A few months ago, a couple had their children taken from them because they were abusing them, and recording it , putting it on youtube and making money off of it.

You call it censorship for youtube to remove those people's accounts , or did you honestly not understand where all this was coming from ????

Not to be a wet blanket, but don't believe a word of what Google says. It's making some superficial overtures to appease the sponsors who went ballistic this past week. Meanwhile, it'll allow all the other bad agents to find other workarounds and camp out in greater numbers than before. Then a year from now, when things get even worse, it'll be the same song and dance. The sponsors will pull ads, Google will mumble an apology and vow to do something and then it'll be wash, rinse, repeat.

Trust me on this. I've been on YouTube forever and have seen how Google has handled the site. It doesn't care enough about the pedos, NeoNazis, terrorists and other bad agents on YouTube to do anything real about them.

Someone better get in a time machine and let Edison and JP Morgan know they were government employees.
