I believe the solution is a hybrid system. We should automatically enroll everyone in the US in a single-payer system for basic health care and emergencies, and then allow private insurers to sell policies for extra services. This type of system works very well in other countries.
Yup.
Right now, children, the disabled, those with chronic illness and the most serious diseases like cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity cannot be denied insurance, nor can the insurance companies arbitrarily stop their coverage on the disease.

A family who has a child with cancer no longer has to sell their home and everything they own to keep their child alive. No adult with cancer has to go bankrupt staying alive either.

For the first time in our history.

That's what people like about the ACA.

I don't expect anything to be free and I don't want the government getting involved with healthcare we all saw how that the ACA was a disaster. Now I would like to see someone go after these health care companies that charge and arm and a leg for coverage. These companies are making so much money off of us that it's insane.
