I can't think of any other way to explain why Trump is still so popular among his base. A lot of people I know who voted for Trump aren't particularly satisfied with everything he's done, they just prefer him on his worst day to a Democrat. They will continue to support Trump like their high school or college football team during a bad season because after all, he is their guy, warts and all. Would you say this is the case among the people who still support Trump? Do you actually think the guy is honest and is doing a good job or do you just think he's better than a liberal?

Trump's represents voters that are normally unrepresentable because they work for a living.

Fake polls, like the ones that claimed Hillary is winning by a huge margin.

That's a lie. The polls weren't that far off and Hillary did win the popular vote. I am sure you knew that though. The only thing that didn't go as planned on election night was the Rust Belt, which Trump only won by a razor-thin margin.

As a registered Republican who voted for Obama (twice) I think Trump is doing just fine, minus his wild tweets. There isn't one established Democrat I would vote for today. Not to say I wouldn't vote for one in the far future.

That's because of California, New York, and a few other states that she won.

And don't forget the illegals voting, votes from dead people, and votes flipping from Trump to Hillary.

Alex Jones conspiracies don't count. Sorry.

You can pretty much bet that Trump's approval rating really is 3-5% in either direction from his official approval number. In fact pretty much all the polls have approval ranging from low 30s to low 40s which is realistic depending on who was polled. Trump likely has very high support among rural whites while very low support among minorities and urban whites. Suburbia leans Trump but not to the extent that rural America does.

I would say she won California overwhelmingly. Outside of California, Trump had her beat by almost 1.5 million more votes. But all this spilled milk; the popular vote is really meaningless in a electoral Presidential election.

Are the 36% of so who still support Trump people who would never vote for a Democrat under any circumstances?
I am part of that group. I will never vote for a Democrat.

I view the Democratic Party as dishonest and condescending. I don't believe anything they say. In fact I can't believe the Democrats believe what they say. When I think of Democrats I think of Harry Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, BLM, and a plethora of generally poorly behaved student age people whose adolescence has lasted far too long.

I will not vote for a Democrat. But I will vote.

I'm 72 years old.

One can say the same thing about Obama and his white liberal and black base too. I mean, Obama can send millions in cash to evil Iran, a country that wants to destroy us, and his base would still fawn over him because he is the “first black president.” Is that not the height of lunacy?
