Odd the way team Trump defends countless contacts with Russians as valuable diplomacy but guts the State Dept. and the U.N.
Im okay witn Trump not starting another war or increasing tensions with another nuclear nation. Now if we could get him to end the wars that his predecessors started.
And its odd so many equate diplomacy with giving the money of american citizens to foreign governments.

Diplomacy is one thing. Paying the lion's share of the freight and not being appreciated is another.
This is the UN - where they continually bash Israel, and many of these other countries that we are supposed to be diplomatic with, racks up their own human rights abuses.
It's one thing to be against what the US did... it's another to formalize an official condemnation. What about their diplomacy?
Any organization that had/have countries like Libya,China,Syria heading the Commission on Human Rights is not one I'd ever listen or give any respect to...
Good -- cutting $$ from the bloated bureaucracy of the U.N. is as good a place as any to start.
The rest of the world won't like it - but who cares.
