Interesting list of Presidents and State Dinners at the White House -
Gerald Ford held 33 State Dinners during his 2 year term.
Jimmy Carter held 40 State Dinners in 4 years, 20 of them his first year.
GW Bush & Obama each held 13 State Dinners during 8 year term.

Jimmy Carter had Israel to a State Dinner 4 times in 4 years, the last time Israel was hosted by the White House with a State Dinner was in 1994, when Clinton hosted a Joint State Dinner with Jordan & Israel.

That was the last time either of them were hosted. It's been even longer for Saudi Arabia, Ronald Reagan hosted Saudi Arabia in 1985. Russia has not been hosted for a State Dinner since 1994 & that is the only time was Russia has ever been hosted - the USSR was hosted several times previous to that. China is hosted by all the modern Presidents, twice by Obama. The UK, France, Mexico and Japan have been hosted by all Presidents & all but Bush hosted Germany. President Bush hosted "better than State Dinners" from a Foreign Policy Standpoint by inviting Nations like Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Germany (and others) to his Texas Ranch.

My best guess for President Trump's 1st State Dinner is a Mid-East Nation - Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel or Egypt.
I believe the best choice is Russia - BUT, we know the Leftist Media would go Bat Guano Nutter over it.

On the other hand - the Leftist Media will go Bat Guano Nutter over any State Dinner, so President Trump should just ignore them the way most people do these days. The fact that President Trump did not have a full State Dinner in his first year says he is more interested in Working than in Pomp - what ever Nation he chooses will have a purpose behind it. The coalition he is building in the Mid-East is important, but cooperation from Russia is even more important. Putin cares about Image & Stature - a State Dinner for him will probably produce the most bang for the buck. IMO.

President Trump has been treated to 3 High Pomp & Circumstance State Dinners in his first year in office.
1. Saudi Arabia
2. China
3. Vietnam

How many countries didn't respond to his bullying tactics at the UN? I'm guessing that these countries won't be invited so the choice of nations will be rather limited.

It should be the CEOs of CNN, MSNBC, the the NYT. They represent a different country than Trump’s.

Whichever country laid out the cash under the table for Corporation Trump to line their pockets instead of guarding the interests of you and me. Welcome to the United Plutocracy of America.

According to reports, Bank of China (along with Deutsche Bank) is one of Trump's financial backers.

Trump hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping at Mar-a-Lago.

It really doesn’t matter who gets invited to the first state dinner in the grand scheme of things. Americans don’t really care. If he chose Chile, no one would be the wiser.
Probably half of all Americans won’t be able to point out the invited leader’s country on a map anyway. Definitely all trump supporters won’t be able to....

No one will care. Unless it's Russia. But even Trump won't be that stupid.
