Both sides point to aberrations in the weather and claim it's proof of something to do with climate.

That global warming thing, sure sucks!
Weather is not climate.

Say it with me again: weather is not climate.

2017 on track to possibly be the hottest year on record. Just like the last few years were the hottest years on record.

You are looking at the trees and missing the forest.

Real climate scientists never point to single events to prove climate change.

They do state that aberrant events will become more likely due to climate change, but no single event can definitively be attributed solely just to climate change.

If there is a change due to global warning it will likely first manifest itself as aberrations in weather. The evidence however would have to be a number of events over decades or longer to have any real meaning.

I think it clear that mankind is impacting the climate. But what will result from that is quite murky. The system is complex and poorly understood. And good mother Earth is clever at compensating for things.

So I think there is a good rationale for limiting the impact of mankind. Why take the chance of something awful developing. But that something awful is on top of us is simply nonsense.

You mean like the ones that claimed that California's fire season this year was causing by global warming. Or the hurricanes this year were. Or that lake effect snow is. Those real climate scientists?

Say it with me again: weather is not climate. A warm summer is not proof of climate change. 1 year variations (or even 5 year ones) are noise (ok, weather). Climate changes in cycles of 10's of thousands of years.

When weather cycles support the Global Warming Disciples commandments, it's the same as climate patterns but if the change doesn't follow the proscriptions in the religion, it's just weather cycles.

We were told 25 years ago we only had 10 years to turn things around.......Seems that despite these warnings the only idea that gets pushed is taxes.
