Now, I do understand the idea of an average meaning that some households have many, some have one, but surely this number would be higher if your assertions were correct?
Yes, I have a small mind I guess and your right I just can't fathom why big cities are baby factories full of big families being raised in old, small apartments.
Seems to a tradition in NYC and LA for people to have as many children as they can and rent the lowest amount of square footage possible with outdated appliances and code violations.
I have zero appetite for big, liberal cities. I like the suburbs and college-towns offer far more entertainment and stimulus than a big city could ever provide.
No matter how much liberals try to pretend that big cities are full of single people living in apartments like in the movies, most are big families raising their families in third-world conditions in small apartments.
New York City schools for instance are extremely overcrowded according because New York City is full of poor families living in crowded tenement apartments with multiple-children that they don't have the skills to watch over appropriately.
Just because you have "zero appetite" for big, liberal cities, doesn't change the fact that 12 people died tragically in a fire. Period. Regardless of your opinion of poor people and their multiple children, at least have the decency to show some compassion. Gawd.
Maybe people unless it is a penthouse or large luxury units, should raise their children in a large single family home and not an overcrowded apartment.
New York City seems to have many issues that arise from it's third-world sized families living in small apartments in walk-up tenement apartments.
It seems as though these massive families living in crowded apartments with buildings with hundreds of people with electrical appliances and stoves everywhere is a recipe for issues.
I guess unlike DeBlasio's NY, people in Republican Wichita can raise their children in huge homes that aren't crammed with things that could dangerous for less than 1,000 a month.
Why have kids if they can't watch them 24 hours, 7 days a week?
Why have a big family if they are living in a century-year old walk up overcrowded apartment building festered with disease?
I wonder how many siblings the parents who were living in a Bronx tenement were preoccupied with?
Seems like the NYC model of crowded tenement apartments crowded with families that can't watch their children that are breeding grounds of disease isn't really working very well.
Simple. You have to teach your kids to not play with matches and stoves. You put the fear in them by severely hollering at them if you see them do things they are not supposed to, like my mom did - when i was doing something dangerous, when i was little, she stormed in and screamed NOOOO!! and scared me so much that i learned not to touch it. I mean it was good in this case to reserve the ultimate terror she put in me for playing with matches or stove. We also had a sewer cover under the back porch and she made me terrified to go near it. People need to watch their kids and teach them stuff . thats the answer.
By the way, my parents did not child proof the house like what people do today. but my parents taught me the consequences of playing with stuff that was dangerous, and that prevented me from hurting myself.
Even for this OP it is a new low. Me thinks the OP should go to the doctor and get checked for untreated syphilis, because the nonsensical rants the OP constantly posts are hallmark signs of dementia.
Fires have been a danger to urban settings since probably, oh the dawn of civilization.
If you want to talk about 'disease infestations' I'd probably stay away from all of those Rust and Bible Belt states too
I guess all of those Jesus classes and teaching abstinence instead of safe sex have been working wonders keeping a lid on those chlamydia rates, eh OP?
When your worst neighborhoods look like those, you know you're doing pretty good!
