Yup - with exception of NASDAQ, we are now below the EOY close:

12-31-17 DJIA – 24,719.22; S&P – 2,673.61 NASDAQ – 6,903.39
03-22-18DJIA – 23,957.89; S&P – 2,643.69 NASDAQ – 7,166.68

This would be understandable if there was good reason for it. But the chaos and selling is all Trump-made - ill thought out tariffs. The deficits from the tax reform were bad enough. GOP hoped - literally hoped without any real evidence - that tax revenues from hoped-for GDP growth due to the reform would offset the deficits.

Now, tariffs have shot that hope all to hell. There won't be any new tax revenues - and many manufacturers will not be bringing their businesses back if they are faced with tariffs on imported raw materials and then retaliatory tariffs when they sell overseas.

What a way to MAGA. Talk about being dumbasses.

Trump is doing to this country what he has done to his past businesses ——crash and burn it to the ground.

You might want to let CNN know .

Last I read, the only Trump developments reporting a profit were the ones he visits regularly. Based on hospitality taxes, all the rest were showing declining income. Golfers report nearly empty golf courses. Hotels and condos are taking Trump off the side of their buildings.

Remains to be seen how much is owed to Russian "financiers" and how much longer they will continue backing his play.

But regardless of how Trump's business is doing, America's business is taking some hits here.

]

We won't see him go on Twitter to address the crash the same way he brags about the "record highs".

Yep, as predicted, a trade war with China. If anyone is surprised at this, you haven't been paying attention. Anything we buy that's made in China is going to cost more. Check yer labels.
