There's been a lot of funny business around trying to argue what Fusion GPS "wanted" in relation to the release of their testimony on this matter.

It does appear that they wanted their comments released to the public.

Which investigation? The real Mueller investigation or the GOP multiple fake 'let's deflect from Trump using Clinton' investigations?

And, yes, we know that's what they are doing--at Donny's foot-stomping insistence--not fooling anyone.

“After speaking with majority and minority committee staff for 10 hours, Glenn Simpson requested the transcript of his interview be released publicly. The American people deserve the opportunity to see what he said and judge for themselves,” said Senator Feinstein. “The innuendo and misinformation circulating about the transcript are part of a deeply troubling effort to undermine the investigation into potential collusion and obstruction of justice. The only way to set the record straight is to make the transcript public.”

If the release of this information would prove that there is nothing to the investigation, why wouldn't the GOP members want it released? Jeopardizing the investigation surely would be in their best interests?
The release doesn't exonerate Trump. But the fact that she would risk releasing information is puzzling. If Grassley had handed the transcripts over to the Trump legal team the left would be going crazy. If you are a Democrat and you think Trump is guilty, why would you arm his legal team with this information?

"Senator Grassley provided Fusion GPS an opportunity for transparency six months ago when he invited the firm to publicly testify at an open committee hearing. ... Mr. Simpson has refused to answer dozens of questions voluntarily, and has failed to provide the Committee with documents

so how could simpson (fusiongps) want it released..yet REFUSE for a public testimony and yet also refuse to answer questions

fusion gps is even more two-faced than the fascist liberal politicians

LIBERAL law firm Perkins Coie.... paid Fusion GPS -- which in turn hired left leaning former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele -- for the dossier on behalf of its clients, the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, in a massive fascist liberal effort to undermine Trump (who didn't even have the nomination at the time).

left leaning former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele---of course Steele was lying... he is a far left liberal-----Steele, He was a president of the Cambridge Union and definitely left-wing and a 'confirmed socialist' as student ------Mr Steele was born in 1964 – and grew up in Surrey before attending Girton College, Cambridge, and becoming president of the Cambridge Union debating society in 1986 ..... Fellow students recall him as ‘avowedly Left-wing student with CND credentials’, and a ‘confirmed socialist’.-----------------and his former (deceased) wife...Mr Steele described his late wife as ‘a liberal in every sense of the word and always on the progressive side of the argument’.

so the CLIENTS of Hitlery and the DNC ...

hire a left leaning brit, (with hatred of anything remotely conservative)....... THROUGH the left leaning corporation of Fusion, via the liberal law firm.... all for opposition bashing....

and you think the dossier should have ANY meaning....

its a garbage, PAID FOR, made up dossier
Oh thank you, 80 posts in, making sense of this thread. Outside of two other posters in here, it's another liberal echo chamber.

Senator Diane Feinstein releases a transcript which is supposed to clear up fake news and raises even more questions.

What an idiot.

Fusion also refused to answer dozens of question in this most recent testimony that was released and refused to provide contracts, contacts or employee names. They were worried about giving names of Fusion employees due to death threats and they mentioned this in the testimony. They planned to give the names afterwards to ensure it wasn't part of the "on the record" document that might release the names. This was to protect the lives of their employees. They also didn't want sources given out and they didn't want to discuss contract agreements either due to confidentiality.

Basically, they still refused the same things as before. It seems their refusal was Q and A about confidential contracts, contacts and employees.

Holding back on confidential info is not the same as refusing to testify totally.
